Day 1: Tangier – Asilah – Larache – Rabat
After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel/riad in Tangier, we will begin our journey towards Rabat. Along the way, we will make several stops to explore the charming towns of Asilah and Larache. Asilah, with its white-washed medina surrounded by Portuguese ramparts, is known for its picturesque beauty and attracts numerous tourists. In Larache, an important harbor town in the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, we will have a chance to admire the coastal scenery. Finally, we will reach Rabat, the capital city of Morocco, situated along the Bouregreg River and the Atlantic Ocean. Rabat showcases a blend of Islamic and French-colonial heritage, featuring architectural wonders such as the Kasbah of the Udayas, Hassan Tower, and formal French-designed gardens. We will spend the night in Rabat.
Day 2: Rabat – Casablanca – Fes
Following breakfast, our exploration of Rabat will continue. We will visit the Royal Gates, built in 1864, and take in the beautiful Challa Garden, surrounded by walls and remarkable defensive gates dating back to the 14th century. We will also stop by the Mohamed V Museum, constructed in 1972, and pay our respects at the tombs of Moroccan kings Mohammed V and Hassan II. The Hassan Tower, a 12th-century minaret, will captivate us with its imposing presence. In the afternoon, we will head to Casablanca, where we will visit the famous Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Africa. After this enriching experience, we will continue our journey to Fes, where you will have the evening to relax and enjoy dinner at your hotel/riad.
Day 3: Fes Guided Tour
After breakfast, your knowledgeable tour guide will meet you at your riad/hotel, and together you will embark on a guided tour of the Fes medina, one of the world’s largest walled cities. The narrow streets will lead you through a vibrant maze of fresh fruit markets, spice stalls, and shops showcasing intricately woven Berber carpets and other Moroccan art objects. Lunch will be served at a traditional restaurant in the heart of the medina. Following this, you will visit the leather tanneries to witness the traditional production of Moroccan leather goods. The University of Al-Karaouine, one of the oldest universities in the world, will also be part of the itinerary. In the evening, we will take a short hike to the Marinid Tombs, where you can enjoy stunning sunset views and panoramic vistas of the Fes medina. Overnight stay in Fes.
Day 4: Fes – Meknes – Volubilis – Chefchaouen
After breakfast, we will depart for Meknes in the morning. Once there, we will explore the Medina and the impressive Bab al-Mansour. Following lunch, we will visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, which offer a glimpse into life during the Roman Empire. Our journey will conclude in Chefchaouen, the renowned “Blue City” nestled in the Rif Mountains. Upon arrival, you will check in to your riad/hotel and have the evening to relax and enjoy the enchanting atmosphere of Chefchaouen. Overnight stay in Chefchaouen.
Day 5: Chefchaouen Guided Tour
After breakfast, your tour guide will meet you at your riad/hotel for a guided tour of Chefchaouen. Known for its stunning blue and white houses and picturesque narrow streets, Chefchaouen is a unique city nestled between three mountains. We will have the opportunity to explore the charming streets, visit the Kasbah, and enjoy lunch at Place Outa el Hammam. In the evening, a short hike to the Spanish Mosque will provide a magnificent panoramic view of Chefchaouen and a breathtaking sunset. Overnight stay in Chefchaouen.
Day 6: Chefchaouen – Tétouan – Tangier
After breakfast, we will depart for Tangier, making a stop in Tétouan along the way. In Tétouan, often referred to as the White Dove, you will have the opportunity to explore the city and enjoy lunch. Tétouan is situated in northern Morocco and lies along the Martil Valley, serving as one of the major ports on the Mediterranean Sea. After lunch, we will continue our journey to Tangier, where we will drop you off at your accommodation or the port/airport, marking the end of our memorable tour.
